The “what ifs” and “should haves” will eat your brain – John O’Callaghan
Do you just ever lay in bed late at night, tossing and turning, trying your hardest to shut your brain and fall asleep? Well, this is something that almost everyone has gone through. According to a study, 70% of adults in the US feel stressed or anxious on regular basis. A survey was taken by the American Psychological Association Survey in which it was said that 61% of people face stress and depression. All of our stress over something such as studies, grades, love, debuts etc.
However, we forget the fact that stress won’t do anything except making everything even worst. No matter what kind of problem you are currently going through, you must find the better solution. And if you are stressed about it, your mind won’t help you in a great way. That’s why I have come up with the list which will help you relieve stress and get rid of life issues. Check them out!
1 – Try Meditation
Meditation is the healthiest way to release stress. “Spending a few minutes of practice on daily basis makes you resilient to stress,” says psychologist Robbie Maller Hartman.
It is very simple. Just sit up straight on the floor, close your eyes and pay attention to what you are reciting. Recite the positive mantra either loudly or silently but it should be positive like “I will get through this” or “I can do it.” Don’t let negative thoughts come into your mind.
2 – Have A Pep Talk With Yourself
Sometimes all you need is yourself. Talk to yourself, tell yourself the truth, and give your heart hope and courage. The more you tell yourself positive things, the more you will be able to go through the situation in a better way.
3 – Think About Possibilities
The more realistic you become about the situation, the better it is. Consider possibilities that will help you tackle the issue. Regardless, it’s a financial problem, house issue, or grades, be realistic. Think about the realistic possibilities and then approach. You can go for the right choice only if your mind is relaxed so make sure to listen to your favorite songs. Or read a book or watch a movie. In short, do whatever makes you feel better and relaxed.
4 – Laugh Out Loud
Laughing is one of the best therapies. It releases stress and brightens your mood. A hormone cortisol is responsible for stress. When you laugh wholeheartedly, the secretion of endorphins hormone increase which ultimately improves your mood. Watch something funny or spend some time with your friend to laugh unstoppably.
5 – Try To Sleep Better
One of the main reasons for stress is lack of sleep. This lack of sleep can cause even more stress. Train your mind to fall asleep so you can fight back in the morning and have a positive attitude. The doctor recommends sleeping at least 8 hours a day to have a mindful and healthy body.
